Walmart Employees And Customers Replace Stolen Girl Scout Cookie Money

Police in Fort Wayne, Indiana say a thief stole money from a Girl Scout troop set up at a Walmart to sell cookies. The girls had a table with Girl Scout cookies and officers say the thief ran out of the store and grabbed the box filled with their money, in broad daylight, and jumped into a waiting silver SUV.

Fortunately, people stepped up to help the Girl Scouts afterwards.Tessie Sherwood, a Scout mom, says a Walmart supervisor donated $100 to the troop, and other community members kicked in money as well.

“It was so amazing,” Sherwood explains. “Everybody just pitched in. You can see it was coming from the bottom of their hearts.”
